Southern Cross lunch cruise is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday arvo. The food was restaurant quality & delicious. The captain was great entertainment & very informative. Locals on the cruise friendly & all seemed to be having a ball. Thoroughly advise this in one thing you must do in Canberra.

One hour which included many stops and the captain running up and down the stairs becuse the PA was intermittent. The hnad rail on the stairs needed two bolts at the top and in my opinion is a safety concern. Cheap enough at $14 an adult but boring beyond belief. Kids got chocolate coins out of the treasure chest and... More

The Jenny Anne needs a good spruce up to get her back to her glory days. The PA system doesn't work so the Captain was runs up and back and front constantly, which seemed a bit disjointed. The carpet looks pretty tired, and the plastic seats strewn about were a bit ramshackle. There's a treasure chest for the kids to... More

We went on the Jenny Anne for a one hour boat trip around the Lake, the skipper is a very nice man, a wealth of information & great with the kids, who get to steer the boat & receive a lollypop & certificate for their effort. Free tea & coffee & cold drinks on board. A very enjoyable boat trip... More

We went abroad Jenny Anne thru canberracruises.net. Was really good way to get an overview of major buildings and highlights of Canberra. The captain was relaxed and pleasant man.

Haven read great reviews about him, we decided to go with him. We were not disappointed. He was a nice, personable person, highly informative about his "home town" and obviously proud of it and it showed in the stories he told on his cruise. Great fun!

We went on a small boat called the 'Jenny Anne' I think. She was formerly from Hobart. Her captain Steve was great and friendly and was really good with our 3 and 5 yo children. He gave out soft drinks and had a treasure chest the kids could play with. The kids also were able to steer the boat and... More

I was on school camp and I went on the merry anne. Firstly, the captain was really mean, if you walking more than one cm per year he would yell at you, the boat was dodgy and old, we didn't go to the main bit of the cruise and we weren't allowed to use the toilet. I would rate it... More

We were in Canberra for the weekend where I had several attractions planned. We stumbled upon "Skipper Garnet" on our way to the Art Gallery. On the way back we decided to take the cruise. It was the highlite of the trip for me. Skipper Garnet was great. He had a knack for making everyone feel pampered. My 13 year... More

It is great to view Canberra from the lake and take photos from another angle. My daghter and I chose a Jim Paterson Lake Burley Friffin Cruisie and we loved it. It takes an hour and it is very enjoyable as well as educational. You need to phone Jim on o419 418 846 to book a time. There is free... More
