We drove our rental car here one day. Upon arrival, down about 5-10 min dirt road, the owner tried to charge 400 pesos for two people to swim. He was not very pleasant to communicate with. We said we felt that the cost was too high and we turned around and left.

We drove our little rental car to Siete Bocas on our last morning in Mexico. It's about 15 minutes from Puerto Morelos and easy to navigate. When we arrived, the owner asked for $20 per person, which surprised us because we'd read it was only $10. We managed to agree on $27 for both. He gave us a quick tour... More

After reading the reviews here, we decided to follow the recommendations. However 200 pesos/person (and yes, we did try to bargain...) is a lot of money for a visit that at the most will take one hour. Add the cost of the taxi (400 pesos return from Puerto Morelos), and the value is not really there. Several cenotes were closed... More

Cenotes 7 Bocas was amazing. one cenote with 7 openings, you can jump in or climb down ladders to get in. These cenotes are underground and you can swim from one opening to the other. Cheap to enter as well.

We set out by taxi from Playa to Tres Bocas Ceynote and ended up at Siete Bocas instead. Amazing jewel clear blue water, jungle setting, tables, chairs, under palapas. We were very fortunate in that, for the most part, there were no other visitors. The owner called a taxi driver friend to take us to Puerto Morelos when we were... More

Spent a couple hours there, exploring the labyrinth of 'tunnels' between the openings (bocas). Some are big, some are little, one you can jump/dive into and 2/3 others have stairs in and out. There are some ropes between the openings for you to follow, as it is fairly dark in there. We brought snorkel gear - highly recommended. Lots of... More

THis was a great excursion. THe water was cold but the place was beautiful. You get to go under the ground in a cavern and see stalagmites and stalagtites.

I just read all of the previous reviews. I have been to a quite a few cenotes, but this is my absolute favorite. However, the last time I was at 7 Bocas was in '07, so I notice there are modernizations/changes in the latest reviews. When we went, we drove down the gravel road and our rental car was getting... This is the third cenote i have swam in when visiting the Yucatan and i have to say its my favorite. First, its very close to Puerto Morales Second, its the only one i have found where one can very easily swim from one opening to another. for the feint-of-heart, there is a rope connecting two of the openings, but... What a great alternative to the not so appealing US style parks like xplor or all the other 100$ mini disneylands that have nothing to do with "nature". enthusiastic guides swim and jump with you from cenote to cenote. the price is reasonable and the nature experience is real. go for it.
