Bodegas Tio Pepe was a great couple of hours spent in Jerez. Our day started in Seville with a twenty minute walk to the station,a light breakfast at one of the smart cafes inside the station and then onto the 9.45am train to Jerez De La Frontera. A comfortable ride of just over an hour on a beautifully clean train took... More

Though it's probably one of the biggest producing sherry houses, it is still fun to visit this bodega. I Find it rather expensive (12 euros for 2 tasting glasses + tour) but I still had a good time. More

This is located right in the centre of Jerez and is an extensive site so it is great that for part of the tour you get to travel in a little train. Part of the tour consists of a video presentation shown in one of the bodegas and the rest involves visits to the various parts of the plant. You... More

In my opinion this bodega has been over commercialized, we were guided in, shown a video on how sherry is made, walked through a bodega, on a train round the site then into a tasting room before being guided to a large shop. In and out with just a video to tell you the history and process. I visited this... More

The extra fee for the tapas is silly, but get the four wine tasting.. Your palette will learn more than with the two wines. There's lots interesting to hear about, not so much to see about thats specifically wine - its more about the history of the company with an overview of sherry-manufacture, if you cab call it that. But... More

One of the ports during our transatlantic cruise was Lisbon, Spain. We chose a tour to the Gonzalez Byass sherry winery. The winery was founded in 1835. We toured the entire winery, saw an interesting film, and then tasted a few of the sherries. I never knew much about sherry, nor did I ever taste it, but the tasting was... More

Glad we went because this Bodega offers a film and "train" ride through the most popular sherry producer in Spain. Most didn't feel paying extra for tapas was worth the price, paying for extra tastings might be a good choice. We chose just the basic tour, which was fine for us. More

We went to a friends wedding here - what an amazing venue. They had the ceremony and then had organised for us to go on the tour. Cute little train ride, our guide was entertaining. I didn't realise that's what Jerez was famous for, so there you go. The end with the sherry tasting being poured by a Tio Pepe... More

This one was not on our agenda, and we were glad to add it at the last minute. The informative tour ended with delicious sherry tasting & tapas. More
