Everything is well done with a wonderful sense of history. It's a terrific experience for children. School groups from Maine used to visit until the passport requirement made that more difficult.

King's Landing is a place where you step into a slower paced time. Stroll the lanes or take a horse-drawn wagon, visit the King's Head Inn for a beverage or a meal. There is a working sawmill, printers shop and smithy and all the houses have 'families' living and working there - planting gardens, harvesting, baking, eating etc. The houses... More

Maple syrup on the snow and wagon rides. Lots of farm animals. Smores and Deer Meet over the open coals. What a beautiful winter day to go back in time with the kids. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Would love to come back here in the summer. Loved the scene of the frozen mill. Should have brought by good camera. Great... More

Kings Landing is a wonderful place to spend a day and go back in time. A whole community with empolyees in period costumes working as they would at that time. Especially enjoyed the wagon ride and the black smith shop. Our most enjoyable visit there was in the fall one year when they were auctioning off their chickens, pigs, vegetables,... More

One of our favorite places to take visitors. The atmosphere is authentic and all of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. You should plan on an all day visit, it takes that much time to get through, especially if you have inquisitive children along! The cafeteria is now closed so the only place to eat is at the Kings... Historical buildings and demonstrations are very good. This is a very large historical settlement with lots to see and do. Holiday dinners at the inn are not to be missed!

We've been there several times for their dinner events such as their Halloween dinner and Christmas dinners. Wonderful food, wonderful service and great entertainment!

I try to attend every year, just because it feels so Christmasy there! The meal is served at the Kings Head Inn, starting at 6:30pm. You will need to reserve way in advance in order to get your preferred day/time, as it is very busy. We went on Friday, November 23rd with one other couple. The inn is lighted by... More

This is the best example of living history that I have seen in the north east. Thier special authentic dining opprtunities around the holidays are not to be missed though a bit pricey. It makes for a romantic evening. This is also an excellent family adventure throughout the summer months.
