More than a horse trek, it involves the dramatic history of the Irish horse. The last Irish wolf was taken by a hunting wolfhound in 1785. Now we can only imagine this land; once a place of rebels and redcoats, huntsmen and highwaymen, native clans and bold invaders; Wolftrek into Irish history. « less

Me and my girlfriend travelled to Ireland last summer and as a surprise I organized a trip with Wolftrek for just the two of us. We could not have been more happy! Ronan and his family are very enthusiastic and keep a great place with lovely horses. For the more experienced riders as well as the newbies. On the trip... More

I was lucky enough to find Wolftrek online and book my reservation. I made my way out to their stable on a public bus and got to take a very short scenic walk to their property. I was greeted by a friendly hound and introduced to three staff. A young gentleman who was riding with us to break in a... More

My roommate and I took this horse tour on our last day in Ireland, and it was the best way to end a great trip. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and we learned so much about the history of Wicklow and the Irish people. It is absolutely something you need to do if you are around the Dublin area. It... Riding horses through the Irish countryside was on our bucket list and Wolftrek was beyond our expectations! Ronan and Louise were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. From driving into the stables and being greeted by Piglet (their beautiful Irish wolfhound) when we got out of the car, we remember all of it! The Wicklow countryside is beautiful and the historical references... More

My wife and I just spent 15 days going all over Ireland. Taking this tour was my favorite. The scenery was breathtaking. I loved the views of Poulaphouca Reservoir (also known locally as the Blessington Lake) The guide (Ronan) was very knowledgeable and personable. The tales he told kept me and my wife captivated. All in all a wonderful experience... More

Went down on a blustery Sunday, took less than 45 minutes to get there from Dublin and would have been worth it if the trip was longer. Very lovely people running the trek and very sweet horses. Catered for those in our group who had never ridden and those with experience. Is much more than just walking in a line,... More

I've done a few treks in different countries and this was the best by a landslide. Even before I booked I felt good about. The emails I received were prompt, friendly and helpful. When Louise picked me up from the train station I found her to be very friendly, talkative and very kind. When we arrived at the stables they... More

As we had traveled quite a ways from Taiwan, my partner and I were not looking to travel too far outside of the Dublin city center. Fortunately for us, when we did, it turned out to be the best decision of our trip! Only a short trip from our accommodations near Temple Bar by bus or by taxi (we did... More
