Excellent user friendly resort, service is very welcoming and you don't feel as though you are treading on eggshells as you do at certain other "tier 1" courses The Cashen Is very tough, and in driving rain and high winds, it almost became unplayable for the standard we play at The old course is a bit more generous and in... We played the two courses on back to back days, starting with The Cashen. The first impression was driving towards the course - you can see the dunes from 3 kilometers away they are so tall. I'd never seen anything like the Cashen, and we lucked out with a nice sunny day with very little wind. Not many people were... More

Second visit to this wonderful establishment. Played both the Old Course and the Cashen course. Both are amazing but the Old Course is one of the world's best. Number 11 is supposedly Tom Watson's favorite. Bring your A game. Lots of trouble and carry especially if its windy. Also take the time to enjoy the setting....it's fantastic.

I was overwhelmed by both the Old and Cashen courses. The back 9 on each of the courses are especially stunning visually. I'm glad that I was scheduled to play there for several days because once was definitely not enough. I played both courses each day and while I was tired when I was finished, I felt like I was... I have played the "Old" course a number of times over the past 13 years...and each round in equally impressive and enjoyable. I can't wait to return another year, Don't leave without a round on the Cashen course.. not as legandary, but totally challenging... Also...s stay at the 19th Lodge is a must if you want to enjoy the best.

One of the most famous courses in Ireland, and deservedly so. Spectacular setting, challenging layout, terrific seaside views. Don't miss it if you're golfing in this part of Ireland. The clubhouse sits high on a hill and provides an outstanding view of the last hole - an ideal 19th hole.

This is one of the finest. Quirky old style links. First few holes are fair to good. Last four are some of the best in Ireland. In between are dome good to great tests of golf. Several tee shots over adjacent greens. Get a caddie!
