If you are near Bunratty Co. Ireland stop by the Bunratty Castle and folk park. The folk park is quaint and the castle is amazing. There are a million stairs but once you reach the top of the castle the view is breathtaking. The little town (folk park) is nice as are the people working in the Bunratty castle town.... More

The castle itself is interesting, but it's the folk park that makes this site really unique! We were fascinated to learn about baking traditional bread on the hearth, and we watched a man thatching a roof on one of the houses. The staff at the folk park really bring history to life! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit.... More

We spent about 2 hours walking around the grounds, which were very well maintained & had a delightful talk with one of the docents in the castle. More

We did not visit the park but instead went to the Traditional Irish Night dinner/show. This was one of our favorite parts of the trip! The food was great- especially the Irish Stew: amazing, and the mead, yum!! We loved the show as well, the music and dancing were awesome. We heard alot about the medieval banquets and not much... We did spend an entire day at the park and it was an educational experience. We liked the walk throught the various buildings from Bunratty Castle to dwellings of the late 1890's. More

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park are a great idea. See Ireland as it was. Experience what it would have been like. The Folk Park and the Small Town recreation are brilliant. The Castle itself and the grounds surrounding are meticulously kept. It's a photographers paradise. Many interesting subjects and for the most part everything is quite true to form. We... More

We had a wonderful day at Bunratty Folk Park and Traditional Irish Night! So it's a little touristy, it was beautiful. The Irish Night was fun, the people were exceptional. Such talent! More

This was a great place for our first day but overpriced. I really enjoyed it but was expecting more. There was nobody at the little houses & cottages so we were just going into empty places to look & they were pretty much the same. I thought there would be someone there to give us more information or tell us... More
