My wife and I went there (twice!) as part of a package from greatlittlebreaks from the hotelshopuk.com meaing we received complimentary tickets for Chatsworth House & Grounds with our hotel accommodation. What an excellent venue, the grounds go on forever, extremely well presented and the parking was an excellent value £3.00 per day (we live near the 'other' estate at... More

It was a beautiful sunny and warm day when we visited. We had a tour of the house and were delighted to be able to take photos. The house is lovely and quite breathtaking at times. The chandeliers alone are amazing. We had lunch in the cafe (doesn't seem right to call it a cafe!) Not the cheapest but definately... More

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day at Chatsworth. First the parking was excellent and the house was stunning and well renovated. For me the best part by far is the grounds, you can spend hours just walking round all the gardens and you probably still won't see everything. I cannot stress enough how well maintained everything is here. They have... More

First time visit to Chatsworth. The gardens / grounds are absolutely stunning, so well cared for you could spends days relaxing there. We were disappointed with the House, perhaps expected too much from a place that is always mentioned for its magnificence. Hardwick Hall has much more history.

Visited today for the first time with family. Had a fantastic day. Grounds are stunning, so clean and tidy. Staff are all so polite, friendly and helpful. Very good value and we received 50% off our return visit. Will definitely return and will be purchasing the annual visitor pass - only £11 per month.

Chatsworth House has 126 rooms and, although nearly 100 of these are closed to visitors, there are still over 30 rooms to explore, starting with the magnificent Painted Hall and finishing in the Sculpture Gallery (which feels like a museum). And unusually, photography is permitted. IN addition Chatsworth has a significant and varied art collection, reflecting the tastes and enthusiasms... More

We had a short break to this area because we had seen Chatsworth House on the TV. We were not disappointed. The house is magnificent and the grounds breath taking. We had a dry afternoon and were able to walk around the grounds and enjoyed every moment. The house is kept extremely well and it was lovely to imagine what... More

A beautiful house in beautiful grounds, a walk around the waters or a walk through the house, you will enjoy every aspect and maybe envy people who have been able to live this lifestyle, it is well worth a visit.

This was a fantastic day out and at last a house and garden where you can take your dog. Gardens beautiful, congratulations to the gardeners. Beautiful tulips as well as different coloured rhododendrons. Many things of interest in the garden and ability to be able to eat and drink outside with your dog. It meant we coudl then put her...
