I really enjoyed visiting Coughton Court. It's a good afternoon out. The house is not huge but I found the staff/guides in each room very knowledgeable and friendly.
The gardens are very easy on the eye, my only complaint is that when I ordered a drink the glass that was slightly grubby.

Two teenagers and a nine year old, as well as us, enjoy the experience of going here. We have been here several times in the last couple of years as we are National Trust members. There is something for everyone, and we love the gardens' variety. The house is wonderful to look around and good for history buffs.

Stories of the gunpowder plot, along with priest holes, are a unique feature of this property. The welcome talk was scheduled to be 16 mins long but was more like 28 - not a problem for us as the volunteer made it highly entertaining. Coughton is stunning when the sun is out. There is plenty to keep you occupied for several hours. Get there close to opening time to get a parking space nearby. Tudor house heavily involved in the gun powder plot, great house with lots to see the gardens were good and the tour guides interesting. A couple of nice churches attached to the house and a great view from the turret!

Visited the house first and it was fascinating, the guides in each room were really informative and enthusiastic. We used our National Trust passes to get into the house so not sure of the charges if you don't have membership. You are able to climb right up to the tower and views from here were stunning.
