How do you best describe the Mamma Agata experience, that's a tough one. Simply it was a delightful day. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. This was the first time in 12 years that my wife and I were able to go away on our own and if I'm really honest, a cooking school... More

Having a great time in the Amalfi Coast is easy to do, however, Mama Agata exceeds all expectations! Chiara and her mother (Mama Agata) reside in a goregous place in Ravello and open their doors and hearts to you for the entire day. The recipes are skillful and the food is delicious. The atmosphere of lemon groves, gardens, vineyards and... More

I love to cook and have attended cooking classes before but this was hands down the best experience EVER and worth the price. Only thing that would ahve made it better is if the weather was nicer so we could have truly enjoyed the beautiful views from the balcony. However, Chiara has the most welcoming, bubbly personality that not even... More

Chiara, Gennaro and of course Mamma could not have been more welcoming on a chilly, stormy day in April. We had been looking forward to Mamma Agata's cooking class for months. While the weather did not cooperate for us, Chiara and her family went out of their way to make sure we were warm and of course well fed! The... More

What a wonderful adventure in the kitchen of mama Agata! Chiara brings true life to the day and her husband is a delight. Chiara & Mama are the blend of a fun team with Chiara doing much of the teaching & Mama interjecting in Italian (she definitely understands a bit of English ;) ) as she sees fit. There is... More

Me and my wife spent a wonderful day with Mamma Agata and Chiara. Of course one should not expect too much of the cooking class which lasts only a few hours. Most of the tips are well known to anyone who takes cooking seriously. So it is more an experience and fun and as such worthwhile. Wether is is worth... More

This review is severely delayed (Sept 2010 was our trip), but I hope that it can still do justice to Mamma Agata and provide good info to travellers! 1) Class: Mamma Agata and her wonderful daughter Chiara are what really makes this class shine. They are a great team. Mamma Agata cooks and speaks in Italian; Chiara translates and answers... More

The day my husband and I spent at The Hidden Treasure with Mamma Agata and her daughter, Chiara, is wonderfully seared into our memories forever. This is truly a unique experience for anyone who appreciates good food and good wine, all the while being surrounded by Italy's natural beauty. Chiara warmly greeted us and welcomed us to the family’s 250-year-old... More

My wife and I spent a week on the Amalfi Coast and a week in Sicily. The Highlight of our trip was the day we spent with Mama Agata and her Family. Daughter Chiara is the Hostess, translator and made us feel so welcome to their home. We were joined by about 10 other people and Mama shared many of... More

The class was informative and so much fun!! It was such a pleasure to actually be invited into Mamma Agata's home, meet her family, enjoy the beautiful setting and huddle around her while she cooks in her charming kitchen. We also enjoyed meeting new people in our class who love good food and wine! It was definitely a highlight of... More
