The water was clear and clean. The only problem was the beach is all rocks, not sand and there were tons of jellyfish in the water.

Nice and quite beach just a 10 minutes walk from the main beach in Positano...If you are in Positano you need to visit Fornillo Beach, there are few restaurants, we went to Pupetto and it was amazing, we loved it!!!
Beach is quieter than the main Positano beach, with nicer food. Many steps down though! Worth the trip. The restaurants serve delicisious food, and I recommend a rum cocktail.
We liked this beach better than spiaggia grande, because it was much more private. Chairs with umbrella are 5 euro each. Unfortunately the water is very dirty and I didn't even go in.
We ate at many other restaurants that provided much better food and service for a similar price. My wifes rissotto was bland.
It is a good option if you are trying to avoid the typical crowded beach. You should down stairs ... a lot of them but totally worth it.
Its well worth the little walk from the business center of Positano to the much more scenic beach called Fornillo. Great stop to change eat and relax. Much lower key and quieter than Positano's main beach. They have it all, good food, service, and most of all a great friendly staff. Hotel Pupetto should be your destination. Walt C.
Even in May this beach gets crowded. The chairs are 10 euros each, which is too overpriced so we stayed on the rocks with our towels.
This is a very lovely beach in Positano, with great views out to sea and of the town. It is pebbly in places, but still nice to lie on.
Very nice beach... lots of chairs, free when the beach isn't crowded. Lots of places to eat nearby..
