I loved the views, pretty safe compare with other hikings that we have done in the states. I was very, very hot.
This is a solid 7km trek. From our base in Positano we walked up 1,000 steps just to start the walk. Be prepared and take water with you. Really stunning views from the walk. We walked from Positano to Bomerano which is a quiet little village, though I'd advise not to arrive there after lunch as everything is closed from... More
I would rate this experience a five, my wife would rate it a 1, hence the three rating since we took this together. I'll offer a summary and then some details. First, my rating is high because it is a very unique experience with some of the most spectacular views I've ever seen. But I was a Ranger qualified Infantry... More
Many stairs were involved to get to the Footpath of the Gods but they were worth it. We met more people on this leg of the hike than all the others combined. Beautiful clear, hot day.
Six of us in our late 50's into the 60's did the walk in 2.5 hours. We took a cab from Positano to Agerola to start the walk. This is the recommended direction to take rather than starting in Nocelle. We ended with lunch in Nocelle with great views of the coast to Capri and then took a SITA bus... More
This was one of the highlights of our holiday, once we had found where it could be joined in Priano. The weather was clear, but not too hot, as we climbed 1700 steps to reach the path, but ensure you take at least 1 litre of water per person, and fill up again at lunchtime. Nocello is a lovely place... More
Excelllent path with spectacular views, well maintained. It is a strenuous walk as we went from Ou B&B in Nocelle to Priano that took about 4 hours with many pleasant views and rests along the way. This walk is not to be missed if you are visiting the Amalfi coast.
It's definitely doable, go for it. You will be so happy that you did. You should be in some kind of good shape however. We walked from Positano and started up. Go and explore!
This was a hike that my husband insisted on doing. It was amazing but not for the faint of heart (or those afraid of heights like I am--haha!) Parts of the hike were quite steep requiring being on all fours and "scrambling". It took us about 3 hours. We walked from Praiano to Nocelle and I can't imagine doing it... More
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Such an amazing hike! The beginning of the path was slightly difficult to find. We luckily ran into a hiking guide on our bus there who gave us directions. The views were outstanding. The hike itself was of moderate difficulty. There are steep drop-offs at times. My husband who is afraid of heights was freaked out a... More
