What a grat way to see the lake and the other towns. Really good value for money. The staff were very helpful
We spent a week in Malcesine in early October. Unfortunately the weather was poor but nevertheless we enjoyed travelling on the regular ferries from the central pier in the town. It's a very relaxed way to travel and reach less accessible towns on the western lake shore. We took trips on successive days to Riva, Limone, Gargnano and Salo, all... More
We took a trip from Malcesine to Riva. Definately worth doing. We took our swimming things with us so that we could cool off in the lake while the shops closed during the afternoon, this was very welcome (make sure you take some water shoes as pebbles hurt your feet.)
Ferry operates from Malcesine to Limone and takes about 20 minutes, The cost is 9 euros return. Well worth the money as the road between the two towns is long and winding and very narrow in parts through tunnels etc. Boat takes about 100 people, all seated either inside or on open top. In cooler weather, take a jacket or... More
Ferries, whether the rapid or normal service, are the only way to travel on the lake. They're very efficient, always on time and hassle-free. We loved them, Malcesine-Limone is €9 and Torbole and Riva from Limone slightly more. Ladies, take something warm, crossing the lake can be cool, even on the hottest days.
This is a good service 9 euro return and you can also get your tickets for the Cable Car in Malcesine from these guys, doing this allows you to skip the ticket office cue at the cable car station and go directly onto the car cue, this could save an hour or more in waiting
Such a great way to get around the lake. Busy at peak times so don't leave return trip til the last minute or you might not get back to your side of the lake! Good value too.
We went both on the ferry and on a more touristical boat. Both were great. Crossing the lake gives one the feeling of travelling. And the view from the lake on both Limone and Malcesine is great.
All on time and clean, friendly and helpful. We were going over to Limone for the day and based on everything else we did around the lake this was very expensive. 53euros for 4 pax return...
As others have said it is 9 Euros return from Malcesine to Limone. The boat is clean, punctual and there are plenty of seats. There is a choice of outdoor seating and covered seating. The ticket has the times of the return boats on the reverse. Well worth the trip.
