The food was absolutely delicious; we chose the Meze platter and Sausage Ciabatta and shared them.

The Serrano ham and bread was scrumptious and the salad with Balsamic vinegar perfectly balanced the flavours.

The Sausage and Onion ciabatta was incredible, the onion were reduced right down to a sweet and sticky texture which work perfect with the mustard dressing on the salad.

Service was good, fast and friendly and the atmosphere was positive with proper music playing (Oasis amongst others).

Nice little find.
Looking for a pub stop en route home.
Stumbled across this place thanks to a Google search for 'pubs near me'. Lucky little find. Quaint. Friendly. Local little old wooden pub.

Right on the road but has both a beer garden attached to the rear and a children's play area and ample parking at the back.
Pool table in the back of the pub that leads to the beer garden. Has surprisingly large seating area that encircles the bar.
Large open fireplace and a restaurant area.
Nice music for a Wednesday afternoon, mixture of young and older generation in here.
Also sells bar food (not on Sundays though) of nachos, snacks (cheesy chips, pork belly bites, olives and garlic bread and a choice of ciabattas (12-3pm for the ciabattas).
Reasonable priced beers and food I would say.

We had a wonderful roast beef dinner which came with all the trimmings and a very large yorkie! The horseradish was lovely ?homemade and the fresh vegetables tasted wonderful. We loved that our dinner came with red cabbage - as we only have it at Christmas so it was a surprising treat.

- the new manager was lovely and welcoming and her staff where attentive and polite.

We will be returning soon!

Sat there and listened to the manager slate a member of staff while they were outside having a cigarette. The manager and the managers of The Hope Inn Newhaven sat there, slagging them off, criticising their choice of top, underwear, choice of partner, among other things.
Totally unprofessional, sly, and uncalled for.
It used to be a nice pub but slagging your staff off behind their back is just low.

Since the people from The Hope put this new girl into the Ringles I've only seen her serving once, she seems more interested in socialising with a glass of rosé in hand and loud friends around her instead of trying to make a go of it.
Eaten here a couple of times and for what they're charging the food isn't worth it, head to The Chequers at Maresfield or The Crow and Gate if you want decent food for a decent price.
Since it's changed hands it's just gone downhill.
