Beach beautifully clean and very sheltered/ shallow. National trust cafe good (although a bit pricey). Free parking if an NT member

We visited this beach during a recent visit to Purbeck and we returned on three separate occasions. The beach is stunning on a nice day, just endless sand. We parked at Knoll Beach car park (which is huge and free if you are a member of the National Trust) and walked to the car ferry and back before stopping for... More

This beach is wonderful, golden sand and bright blue sea, (if the sun is out). We walked along the beach on a windy blustery day, it was exhilarating! The National Trust have done some good things here, the heathland is well preserved and the birdlife superb. There is a newly refurbished restaurant/cafeteria situated at Knowle Beach, so its good to... More

A great clean chill out place with plenty of parking and a cafe. Take the small ferry over from Sandbanks.

This is a wild and sometimes windy beach which brings you bang slap into Mother Nature's domain: pristine sand, not a piece of litter in sight, beautiful shells and razor clams strewn along the shoreline; and magnificent vistas across Poole Bay. You can walk past the Naturist Beach (prepare for bare bums) all the way to Middle Beach, stopping off... More

Nicest spot to relax in the dunes or on the beach on the South Coast. Comparable with almost any where in the world ... if the sun shines.

Great way to see this beach is to park in Sandbanks, then walk over using the ferry. We walked around the coast to Old Harry, for a packed lunch and back. The several beaches, all on National Trust land are beautiful. However, you have to cross the nudist beach to move from a to b, so be prepared for an... More

It is a gorgeous stretch of soft sand, shells everywhere and interesting dunes to wander through. Lovely!
