A good area for easy walking and enjoying the scenery across the water. Can even get your feet wet. Area was very clean and tidy.
Good pond**** for sailing model yachts, so long as it has been kept clean (the local council is good at this, but some visitors are messy). Good views of the Carneddau range**** (often mistaken for Snowdon!) and spectacular sunsets***** by arrangement (local Met Office fixes them) with all the colours of the rainbow rising from the setting sun. Beware of... More
We went here for a drive with my parents as we were staying in the town overnight, it was chucking it down with rain and very windy but I got some great shots of the sweeping bay and the orme under a menacing sky, great place for photographers and gulls who love chips.
What a lovely walk along the shore line to Deganwyw We started off with a lovely hot cup of coffee at the cafe at west shore beach.Excellent sevice and very friendly. If you do not want to walk back a bus stop by toilets in Deganwy handy for the ride back to Landudno
The west beach is about 15 min walk up the main road from the usual north beach/pier where most tourists hang out. It is a huge expanse of sand although can be muddy in places and the views across to Conway and Snowdonia are awesome. the facilities are few and far between but it is a great place for an... More
It seems some major construction work is going on at the moment (March 2013). As such it has a sort of moment in time haunting appeal if you like bulldozers and concrete! however for some of the best views right out to Anglesey this side cannot be beaten. Huge expanse of sand too. Excellent place to walk up the Orme... More
Lovely walk straight in to Conway. There were shelters , toilets and coffee stops along the way. The views were stunning with some good photograph opportunities. we have also walkked in the other direction round the base of the Orme. this is equally a good walk with lovely views although a little climbing involved.
The reason for this is a heavy sewerage content, so there is no paddling or swimming, so children should keep out of the water, it is a little off putting knowing this, but as a walk to Conwy its ok
This is truly the gem of Llandudno. Doesnt have the same facilities as the main Llandudno resort but i think this is what makes it. Amazing views over the Conwy Estuary and snowden in the background. Good footpath and lots of benches. Boating lake is very clean. Look out for the mountain goats on the side of the orme.
