NEVER have I seen anything as nice as this both building and the grounds. They day we went was sunny and you could see over to the alps.

A lovely old palace, with a beautiful garden & full of art works. We only took the Upper Palace tickets in order to see the Schiele & Klimt exhibitions...so amazing, as was the other art on display. Great views to be had from the garden across Vienna too. Beware the grumpy employees....would a smile hurt on a sunny day! Well...

We used the hop on hop off to get there. The museum is a former beautiful palace with a wonderful art collection. Well worth the visit.
We took a short tram ride , 4 stops out of the center of Vienna. My reason for going to the Belevere was to see the magnificent Klimt collection on the second floor of the upper Belvedere Palace. Arriving early, we took advantage of the wonderfully delcious breakfast of boiled egg, marble cake, cheese, ham breads, juice and coffee , all...

Great museum with such beautiful paintings of Klimt and Shile. I propose visit just upper Belveder, because in second there is nothing to see
My friend and I only had time for the Upper section, but that was fine because I went there to see the Klimt's famous painting "The Kiss". The gardens in the back are a lovely scene as well. A very unexpected bonus was that when we got there Tom Cruise was there promoting a new movie!
We purchased our tickets locally, wanting to cut the middle man out. We found the price very reasonable, when you have a choice of different levels of the castle to visit, where different paintings were exhibited. We opted to see levels one and two where Gustav Klimpt and others were exhibited. I had not known of this artist but had...

The museum is not crowded. It gives an important one message:Gustav Klimt! I liked it very much and looked "The Kiss" for 3 times on and on. Must be seen.
We were only able to tour 2 of 3 palaces that house incredible museums...We did make the Klimt exhibit which was excellent...We ate the orangery, which provided delicious organic and locally grown food...The marsipone orange and almond cake for dessert was sublime and my husband's apple strudel was a huge portion and authentically made, the best he had ever tasted....We...

Very nice area, with a lovely garden to walk in. Don't miss the botanical garden a little further. The palace is huge and takes a while to walk through. But it's spacious (we walked around without problem with our baby stroller) and offers a nice view from the upper floor. Great art collection.
