A must-go attraction. Just make sure you have warm clothes on if the weather is cold because you will need them up there.... All the stops are worth visiting.

The funicular puts the word "fun" in mountain adventures. The trip to the top of the mountain was more than my 94 year old grandmother could ask. Easy to the top and a nice little lunch at the top lodge.
This is a very exciting and wonderful trip up the mountain. Well worth going. The scenery is gorgeous, and you can see for miles from the top.
This is a must thing to do, and be sure you climb till the very end. Beautiful view over the city and area opens from the top.
We went as part of our Innsbruck Card. The ticket seller was indifferent at the Congress Centre. We had a nice time until the first stop where we could go to a good coffee shop. After this it was cold and miserable.
Nothing to dislike - the journey starts on the outskirts of the town where you jump into a car which takes you to and a short way up then you change to another cable car. The restaurant half way up was okay but a bit pricey for our SA Rand!
The experience of taking a cable car was so much fun for my family. The views are stunning. Make sure to pack an extra layer for going up to the top as it's a lot colder. On the way down we stopped at the Alpenzoo which is a nice way to experience the mountains. I recommend getting the innsbruck card...

You seldom see a funicular that is an attraction in itself. The ultra-modern stations are a marvel of sculpted design, totally unique. They make you smile. The operation is very efficient and the views on the way and on arrival are worth every last penny.
We loved taking the tram to the top and spending the day watching the skiers, having some lunch (and a few beers) and just enjoying the spectacular view. There really is nothing like seeing Innsbruck from 14,000 meters up. The day we went was very clear and the town looked like a tiny toy version of itself. When we look...

We always go up here when in Innsbruck. The futuristic railway takes you up to the pretty little village that has a modern church with important wall paintings. From there two cable cars will take you right up the mountain and on clear days there are wonderful views.
