Don't bother going there. It died a death years ago which is probably for the best. There are plenty of decent places to go in Paphos still.
Knew Bar Street firstly when there was next to nothing in it, at the height of its "fame" and now when its like a ghost town. At one end there is Linekers which seems to be full of silly young kids (suppose that is par for the course these days). On proceeding further on you find plenty of empty bars... More
Bar street is really funny name for that street. There are much more bars arround than in the "bar street".It is also dirty, ruined pubs and bars everywhere reminds you you`re in the wrong place..,and yes- stuff, namely girls,"PRs" or whatever they do at Linikers were bit rude and very cheap looking, like living homeless or so..Prices totally over the top for the quality-the... We decided to go for a night out with my husband and thought bar street would be a good idea. What a huge mistake that was. Nearly all the bars are closed and the ones that are open are full of kids!!! Every bar has loads of "PR'S" all touting for business but to no avail! There are some nice... More
The first thing that you notice is all the closed bars. These are run down empty shells and really need a lot of tlc. The ones that are open are really loud and expensive. I won't be going back to this street and it's a shame because Paphos is lovely.
Have just arrived back from holiday with 2 friends. We went as a party of 3 girls (aged 26). We didn't intend in having a mad holiday like previous years in Tenerife, kavos, magaluf & Zante but did expect bar street to st least be quite lively & entertaining! How wrong we were!! We can't fault our hotel at all... More
Before arriving in Paphos, me and my friend (18) we were so skeptical about the night life after reading dis-heartening reviews, but how they were so wrong. Only planning on going out a few nights during our 2 weeks stay, we ended up out every night on Bar Street at Flairs, Boogies Karaoke Bar, Notorious,Linekers and their fab silent disco... More
Bar street has been run down by the municipality and the mayor who have been promoting their interest at the harbor. They have been sending this short fat police officer to give out sound pollution tickets to the bar and club owners only to force them to shut down for good. When bar owners have to pay 5000-6000 euro on... More
Well what can one say a death is always a sad thing to take in....... Cyprus tourism board get a life understand this street destroys your chances of being a cultural town due to the total disregard for this area., as where it used to be an enjoyment to finish your Evenings out in one of the closed down bars...
