The harbour is beautiful but you cannot walk along it without being constantly hassled to eat at the many restaurants. You have to watch that you are not ripped off as the prices vary tremendously from restaurant to restaurant. More

You have to run the gauntlet when strolling through the marina area. Too many waiters trying to get you into their establishments. More

Pretty old Med harbour straight from the '60's before mass tourism hit the rest of Cyprus. Accept you will be touted by the restuarant staff around the old Carob buidings that front the harbour, especially when its not busy and you'll get on fine. Where we eat was excellent, with opportunities for plenty of 'people watching' and of course the... More

Very small and pretty harbour with lots of bars and eating places around although the restaurants are farly expensive Plenty of boat trips from the Harbour but beware, when they say they visit 3 glorius beaches, they only anchor off the coast of these (not very good beaches anyway) and you have to swim in if you want to spend... A lovely harbour that hasn't yet been ruined by over-commercialism. Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, shops for souvenirs, boats trips and an evening market. All set in the rustic old buildings, the fort is right next door for a half day tour in the blazing heat if it takes your fancy. Prices for everything are reasonable with... More

When I tell people I have visited Northern Cyprus I get some looks that seem to suggest that I must have spent my time looking at rubble. Whilst I have to admit that the immediate vicinity outside the hotel matched this description (Oscars Resort), the same cannot be said for the harbour. I have been to Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca... Tourist trap. Bars and restaurants expensive. Walk around and admire the scenery, but eat and drink elswhere - it's a lot cheaper. More

If you are visiting the harbour it would be a shame to miss this venue. Great views mixed with history makes a good way to spend an hour or two. Not for the infirm though,as lots of steps and would have a UK Health & Safety inspector apoplectic. More
