Went on the morning whale watch. There was just 5 of us on the trip - ideal! We all joined in on spotting the whales. Saw 5 humpbacks, one minke and a porpoise. Luckily the bay was calm, however it was still cold and the "cover alls" provided by Gentle Giants were much appreciated. Maria who was our hostess was... More

Thank you very much for your positive review! Nice to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Gentle Giants. We have indeed been lucky with the whales recently - hopefully it is a good sign for the 2012 season! Best regards, Daniel Annisius More

I had to give this activity 5 stars for one reason and one reason only, it was an experience I will never forget until I breathe my last breath of polluted air. I spent three miserable hours on the verge on puking and the only saving grace was seeing my friends in the same state, which deep down inside gave... More

Thank you for sharing your experience - we do appreciate it! Sad to hear that your tour was taken down by seasickness. The weather conditions in Iceland are unpredictable, just like the whales. Our captains know the area and the boats very well and decide when to go out or not, for the safety and comfort of passengers. Before selling... More

We went on this tour on our honeymoon trip to Iceland and had an amazing experience. We saw MANY humpback and minke whales, and the tour even gave us a champagne toast on the way back to shore. Definitely a top memory from our trip. THANK YOU! More

With wild animals you always have to get lucky. And we weren't. :-( However, we were warned. The sea was very rough and the competitor of this company even cancelled their trips that day. The receptionist and the guide we both so honest to warn us in advance. We were offered sea sickness pills before boarding and we got a... More

We were probably very unlucky because in our 3h cruise we saw no whales, we got cold and wind and the drink they served on board was actually not so good. If I had to go back to Husavik I don't think I would ever do any other whale watching with them or their other concurrent. More

My husband and I went whale watching with the Gentle Giants while we were on our honeymoon in Iceland this fall. Great things: the tour guide was really lovely and knowledgeable, the thrill of being on a pretty small fishing boat out in the middle of the arctic is something not to be missed, and the coveralls you get outfitted... I would like to say that our whale watching trip was brilliant we had been Whale watching at Reykjavík though we saw Minkes in abundance and it was a brilliant day. As my wife says when it comes to whales size matters, Minkes are like large Dolphins so we set of to Husavilk to find Humpbacks. We booked to go... More
