Unless you are visiting the treasury out of a combination ticket, don't pay for this. It's just 2 tiny rooms of a few objects. A better place is the royal armoury where the objects from scale and grandeur will blow you away much more than the few stuff here.

The treasury is located downstairs in the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Here you can see all sorts of crowns and royal regalia from the early 16th century onwards. Sweden was an independent kingdom from 1520 before that for a long time in union with Denmark and Norway.

but we expected more. The two rooms took 20 minutes and that was pushing it really. I think we probably did the circuit twice ! But it's worth it as part of the whole Royal Palace.

If you want to see Sweden's jewels, this is it. It's in a very small wing of the Royal Palace just over the bridge from the city center. It takes about 10 minutes max.

Was 150SEK per adult. Only 2 small rooms with a few items such as crowns and a few swords. Totally not worth it! However, the entrance gives you also access to the royal apartments, the Tre Kronor Museum and the Museum of Antiquities. It is also valide for a complete week.

Located at Kungliga slottet, the Treasury is part of the Royal Palace complex (requires separate admission of 100 SEK - free admission with Stockholm Card) and is located in the vaults beneath the palace. The Treasury houses the regalia of the Swedish monarchy; among these you will see the key, crown, sceptre and orb of Erik XIV, Gustav Vasa’s sword,... More

This is quite a small collection with little information displayed. However, we joined a free guided tour which was excellent. The guide was outstanding and told us the interesting stories behind the collection in a very engaging manner. This was one of the highlights of our time in Stockholm but make sure you get on one of the tours -... More

I don't think this is worth the extra money, but, if you are at the Palace and have a Stockholm Card, you can check it out. The Treasury is about a dozen swords, maybe eight crowns...and that's basically it. It's crowded (at least when I was there because there was a tour of 20 people down there) and small.

The half dozen crowns (or so) on display are delicate and beautiful, plus the ceremonial swords, symbols of office (sceptre, orb and key), baptismal font, etc are also lovely to look at. But compared to the jewelled treasures on display say in either the Tower of London or Copenhagen’s Treasury, the Stockholm Royal Palace Treasury (Skattkammaren) seems very light on... More
