Unfortunately, as I was about to board the Hellenic Seaways ferry to Mykonos, my bag with my ferry tickets (and passport) was stolen. This can happen in any country. My disappointment is with Hellenic Seaways lack of concern for their customer and unwillingness to attempt to work with me to refund the tickets. I cancelled the first leg of the... More

Traveled from Piraeus to Mykonos with a big ferry and loved it. Started very early in the morning, stopped by couple of island, I tink around 4 hours etc. reached to Mykonos. The ferry was a speed type, the sail was great, they sell beer on the board, and there is also an open terrace.

From what I'm reading on Tripadvisor, Hellenic Seaways are a bit inconsistent in the way they do provide their services. We took three trips with them Piraeus to Mykonos, Mykonos to Santorini and Santorini to Piraeus. The second one was about an hour late, due to late arrival of the Flying Cat and really chaotic boarding process. Booking was fine... More

Clean, friendly most of the time but customer service is mediocre. Of the Greek lines this is the best. One time they were several hours late which was a bit difficult since we were waiting at 1 a.m. with four small children at the port but I'm not sure that was their fault and the boarded very quickly and very... So i bought 4 tickets from Mykonos to Santorini. I had an unfortunate thing happen. the tickets were on the table, and the cleaner threw it in the bin! (who does that). Anyways, so the tickets can not be re-issued without being purchased again (same seats). She travel agent told me to email them, and they will not give me... More

We were booked on FlyingCat4 from Heraklion to Santorini on August 28, 2012. We left port on time and entered rough waters shortly after leaving port. It quickly became apparent that this boat can not handle rough waters! We were riding over waves and crashing down with a force that I did not believe possible on a craft like this.... More

Took the HighSpeed 5 from Piraeus to Mykonos. Advertised as a 4 hr trip did quite so, though it made 3 stopovers first. This wasn't an issue as it didnt take each more than 15 min, its at small islands enroute. The boat is "fast" compared to a cruise ship and by naval speed standards, around 20 - 25 knots.... More

We were in santorini's port headed to mykonos. They just cancelled the trip and we had to stay in line for almost 2h to change to the boat which would take 7h instead of 2h. The boat was awful and we could see lots of people vomiting in those paper bags. We should have taken a flight to athens and... More

We had a good trip with the flyingcat 4. It left on time and arrived on time, there was no problem with luggage, which was stored on the same deck. More legroom than expected, and staff was efficient.

I've travelled with Hellenic Seaways several times over the past four years, and always find them excellent. A number of times I have experienced delays, but this is due to adverse weather conditions and NOT Hellenic Seaways fault. Please factor this in when travelling on the ferries in Greece, that ferries can be delayed or cancelled due to the high... More
