walk all through kessariani. it's such a nice place.you can make a pic-nic or just enjoy the view and the amazing change of the scenery every season of the year More

A beautiful old church up in the mountain of Immitos, with a serene place to walk and see marvelous views of Athens from high above. Still, not recommended for foreigners with not much time to spare. More

The monastery itself is quite small but well-preserved. When we went entry was 2 euros and I'm afraid I can't help with the problem with opening times - this is a common problem in Greece, I'm afraid. Inside there is a small double church (dedicated to two different saints with two entrances and two small chapels) with some interesting iconography.... More

Advised by the Athens tourist info we went to Kaisariani Monastery last week - only to find it closed! A rusty old sign on the front door said something about 8:30-15:00 (we were there around noon) but also showed the entrance fee still in drachmes ... so that info was somewhat outdated ... It's got such an idyllic location -... More
