It's as overwhelming as I had hoped, and then some. After a good hike up the hill you are able to wander around the Acroplis and its crown (but not only) jewel, the Parthenon. An experience not to be missed More

You can't visit Athens without the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Such spectacular views and the signage is well done, although hiring a guide is a good choice. See my review of Athens Walking Tours--great option. More

Disappointing, looks far more impressive from a distance and the crowds (especially from the cruise ships) really detract from the whole experience More

This is a must go. Beautiful and magic. Try to take a small botle of water with you and remember that a half liter water bottle in Athens should cost no more than 0,50 euros. More

It was like a dream to be there, the place is destructed due to the time and all the things that have happened there but still it was amazing to be on the Gods and Goddess place. More

One of the most famous sites on earth. No point coming to Athens if your not going to see it. Go early morning to avoid the crowds. More
