This building is great, the main room is excellent, but the chairs are so unconfortable that one cannot enjoty the show...
Last concert I have attended (Sokolov) was fantastic, but I was not able to stay for the encores, because my back was in such pain that I was forced to leave...

Stunning modernist auditorium, a gigantic cube resting on one corner. I think it is by Rem Koolhaus. the king of cool for sure. Did not go in, but took good look around. Try to see it. A concert there would be a great experience.
If you like modern architecture you should really go here, also when there is no concert going on it is really worth it to have a look inside.
You can get a guided tour and maybe this would have offered more. The outside is however quite striking, but nothing much happens inside during the day. It is basically the Music auditorium.

Went to hear Verdi; Requiem here. Got the ticketsby a fluke. We arrived on the day to find someone had just returned two tickets in the centre of the front row. Music was excellent. The hall itself is stunning. Very modern with a lot of thought going into every detail. Temperature was perfect and the whole thi g just works...

Went to see a show for babies called " Viva Vivaldi", in this wonderfull building! The show was amazing but the building was a good surprise! The inside has a magnific acustic and I believe that Rem Koolhaas is a big star wars fan like me!

His stories on the history of the building, the design and implementation by the architect and engineers, the expectation and acceptance from the people, are humorous and informative. This is such a masterpiece of marriage of...

This is an architectural master piece and one of the best concert halls in Europe. It has an amazing workshop season and once a month they turn it into a club. To make it even better it is located in Porto a few kilometres from the big blue ocean. Convinced!?
