The architecture of the building is terrible (but it works). The exhibitions are great. Not the artists super star, but really interesting artists lesser know. Miguel Wandschneider is doing a great job turning Culturgest in one of the most interesting places to see art in Europe.
The bookshop is also great with a refined selection of art books and theory.

Culturgest is a cultural foundation created to support the arts. It comprises 2 exhibition galleries, 2 auditoria, 5 conference rooms and an outside amphitheatre. It organizes and presents cultural, artistic and scientific activities such as exhibitions, dance, theatre, music, opera and new circus performances, cinema cycles, conferences and colloquia. Further to these activities, Culturgest also offers an education service with a diversified programme that is based on the foundation’s yearly cultural activities.

Culturgest makes really good cultural events. When in Lisbon, go the their website and see the programing for the period of time that you'd be here. The place is very close to the train station and even more close to the metro. It's a very big building that pops out in the place.
