This is so much more than just an aquarium. The set up allows one to see puffins, penguins, etc. in a fairly natural habitat, close up. This was the hightlight of our 11 year old's trip to Lisbon and Madrid. The Atlantic Puffin in the first room was the happiest-appearing animal I have ever seen (we have film).

Not my choice to go here, as I think of aquariums as somewhere to take children on a wet Sunday afternoon and I had no children with me and it wasn't wet, It is huge, however what swung it for me where the penguins and otters (so very cute), although the rest is very impressive.

Loved the oceanarium! It's really nice, has a very good structure! It's built around a central aquarium and then works in regions. They have penguins, otters, manta, sharks,... Loved it!

Beautiful building, beautiful atmosphere, I liked sea otters, penguins and giant turtles (But the turtles were just in temporary exhibition). You can go along the shore from the Oceanario to the V. D. Gama Bridge. It is a nice quiet walk.

Best aquarium I've ever visited and not too expensive. Amazing main tank, I could sit and watch it for hours! It's a little bit out of the city but it's nice to be by the water. Sea otters being fed was definitely a highlight, as well as the flat fish!
