The Gulbenkian shows all highlights or art. It is small but with a great surrounding: the view on the park in the background gives an extra dimension to the art which is displayed. The Museum is not expensive and well worth visiting.

Don't miss it, fantastic collection of the best of the best in Western and Middle Eastern art, but not huge. Well presented.

The exhibits and artworks are an eclectic mix as you would expect but the quality was a surprise. My wife particularly loved the Lalique Art Nouveau jewellery and bowls.

This is one the great galleries of the world and you'd be mad to miss it. The collection is beautifully presented in an understated, elegant building. You go through in the order the gallery stipulates, which is not only chrononological but logical and quietly educative. The surrounding gardens - almost a zen-like design - are a must see as well. They... More

If, in the Hereafter wherever I may be, I am permitted a day’s return to Planet Earth to visit one natural and one cultural wonder, at this late point in my life the choice would be the Iguassu Falls and the Gulbenkian. The reason for the latter choice includes its moderate size, allowing the whole collection to be seen in... More

Surrounded by a nice park you'll find in this elegant building an impressive collection gathered by an outstanding art collector. Early Grecian and Roman art, ancient tapestries, glazed tiles, glass and silverware, a small but beautiful collection of paintings as well as antique furniture. Worth a visit!

It was Sunday, perhaps the busiest day. There weren't enough staff in the eaterie, which is cramped anyway, and the queueing took too long. By the time I'd paid and found somewhere to sit, the hot food was no longer hot. A small grumble, because the museum itself is delightful

A combination of interesting architecture and good exhibits. Set in a park, so make sure you allow time to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings.

This museum may not have the biggest collection on display but everything is the most exquisite example of its kind. I have never seen so much so much beauty in one place - from the Lalique jewellery to the early Grecian art.

What a nice discovery. Close to our hotel & a place my parents had been to in1987. Beautiful garden with ponds, ducks & sculptures.
