Well worth the walk up.. no good if you have leg problems! Some great views but the walkways are small so be careful, you are right up against the roof.. safe enough but not for the disabled!

We paid an extra €1 as part of the Flanders Fields museum tour to climb to the top. Not for the infirm, unfit or those who don't like spiral staircases or heights. Despite a murky day the views were brilliant.
A walk to the Belfry is a must. There are 230 steps, but the view is outstanding. Its a must when going into the museum.
after managing to climb the steps the view was amazing, you could see all of ypres and we were lucky enough to choose a lovely sunny day
my partner climbed the stairs with his camera! Good information up there and good views , which gave you an idea of the landscape before and after the war
The views from the belfry were good and the climb not too arduous. A birds' eye view of the town makes your realise what was achieved in the rebuilding process.
The advice that the climb to the belfry of the Cloth Hall is over 200 steps seems daunting, and, in truth, its up a twisting, narrow, stone staircase, but it's worth it. Look out over the market square and the town and revel at being above it all!
Excellent view on a clear day but beware when it is windy!
This is an imposing building sitting In the main square of Ieper and shows just how wealthy and important this town was a few hundred years ago.
