Excellent trip on 17/5, very informative and a well designed programme. Phillipe was an extremely knowledgeable guide and I would definitely recommend Quasimodo tours to anyone who is interested in World War 1 history. I don’t think I'll ever forget some of the special moments including Phillipe reciting/reading "In Flanders Fields" when we were at the field dressing station. We... More

We are so pleased that we added this tour to our travel agenda. It was more than worthwhile and significantly increased our knowledge and awareness of the effects of the Great War on the people, the area and our Canadian troops. Even though Philippe has been doing this for years and really knows the subject, it felt fresh and he... More

Philippe has a wealth of knowledge about his native Flanders and about the impact of the World Wars on Belgium. He is a good speaker, and his explanations and stories are sprinkled with good humour. Philippe and Sharon have been guiding tours for more than 20 years, and they’re good at what they do. The Flanders Fields tour is for... More

First, Quasi sent a paid taxi to pick us up at our hotel in the Bruges city center about 8:00 a.m. After us, we stopped at two other hotels before the driver dropped us off at the meeting location. Everything very prompt and professional - it seems like they use this taxi driver a lot. The tour bus we then... More

What a great day we had with Philippe on Tour #2- after all, what could be better than a little history, lunch, waffels ,chocolates and beer? As we planned our trip to Brugge, we weren't sure we wanted to go on a tour- worried that an all day outing would do us in. But after emailing back and forth we... More

From my very first interaction with Sharon and Philippe I knew this would be a wonderful tour. I was concerned we would miss our train that day at 6 pm but they assured me that they would drop us off at the train station in due time or drive us to our destination, (which would have been Paris :s) furthermore... This was a really worthwhile day. Philippe has been doing this for years and really knows his stuff - answering questions on politics, strategy, geography, munitions, gas, generals and windmills with equal ease. His context-setting speech on the origins of the Great War and the German advance through Belgium was really helpful - I don't think anyone has ever explained... More

We originally signed up for the Triple Treat Tour. Our guide, Phillipe, was very enthusiastic and entertaining. We enjoyed our tour and fellow travelers so much that we asked Phillipe if he had room for us on the Flanders Field tour the next day. While it was obviously much different in tone, it was an even better tour. Phillipe's heartfelt... More

My husband thought since we would be in Brugge on my birthday we should do something fun and the Triple Treat Tour filled the bill. The group was small and there was plenty of room on the bus for all of us to have a seat to ourselves that day.(this was still the off season) Philippe was our guide and... More

The bus is not a full-size coach so the group is medium sized (about 30). Phillipe is knowledgeable and concerned about giving his customers a good experience and thorough overview of the Flanders Fields battles. The tour covers a lot of ground and sees a good variety of sites, but you never feel rushed. One thing I didn't realize before... More
