Went here on my solo bicycle tour of Belgium and the battle fields of WWI and WWII, and was overly impressed with this piece of history. Get a map, hire a bike and ride the ring of Brugge. Take a day looking at lovely canals, windmills, buildings. Best thing I did in Brugge by far.

Thanks to the bus station clerk and the bus driver we found the windmills. At first look I felt maybe they were pseudo mills. Once I realized they were the real thing, the location - my mind set was rewarded. Understanding the history also helps realize the location and work horse these mills were and are.

Bruges is beautiful inside and out - look up at the frescos and around at the art work (eg Arentshof) A very compact city, so you can expend your energy wandering round the museums and galleries - especially if it's raining! Top places include: Groeninge for a range of Flemish art, especially the primitives ,Sint-Janshospitaal for Hans Memling, Arentshuis for... More

If you are in Bruges for even one day, you will probably get your money's worth out of this pass. If you climb the Belfort and visit the Groening with it, already you will have saved money. It is a great deal! If you are in Bruges for a few days, you absolutely must buy this pass. It is not... More

For 15 Euros you can purchase a three day ticket to all of the Bruges Museums, which is excellent value. If time is limited make sure you visit St. Johns Hospital for the Memlings and the Groeninge Museum which has an outstanding collection of early Flemish art. Look out in particular for Hieronymus Bosch's 'Last Judgment' and the 'Madonna and... More

Bruges and art go togheter as cream on a pie, around every corner there are things to see and to visit, Bruges is a relatively small city, but has places of interest every 50 m throughout the city

Indeed the canals, swans, ducks,Flemish artists etc...and as usual you discover a brilliant artist and nothing on sale to take back home apart from a lousy postcard that doesn't even go near to what the artist is about, I am talking about Frank Brangwyn, gorgeous illustrator, drawing skills hardly equalized (could just compare his work to Daumier), just plain respect for such...
