The Magritte Museum is very interesting to people interested in the arts because one learns so many things about the life of Rene Magritte. He was a very witty person and one can tell this by looking at the titles he put on his paintings. Makes one think what he meant. He was a master of surrealism. Also enjoyed seeing... More

Despite asking twice, there appeared to be only four posters to view - it could not be that? There were a few projections onto the wall, but was that all there was? We could not believe it, so asked where were we supposed to go - and were told that was it - surely not? We must have missed it!

I love Magritte's art but it was a bit disappointing that his most famous painting are not in Belgium at all so if you go enjoy very nicely presented life long love to ART thru 5 decades of his life a very good audio guide and great 3 floor layout and not too long of a visit you can squash... More

Beautiful, smallish museum collection in Magritte's home of many years. A great way to spend an hour or two in Brussels. Not very crowded so we were able to thoroughly enjoy the art and history. Amazing way to get a sense of Magritte's life and not simply to see his art. I'd love to see more museums dedicated to displaying... More

We went to the Old Masters section and enjoyed the many paintings and sculptures by Flemish artists. 8 Euros per person to get into just the old masters section. Spent approx 1 1/2 hours walking through this portion of the museum. Nice surrounding area for photos as well.

It was inspiring to see a museum that was focussed on the works of Rene Magritte, a surrealist most famous for the man with the green apple in front of his face. The entry is staged by time, so it is best to go early in the day. Highly recommended.

We thought we knew Rene Magritte as the reality-scrambling painter of pipes, bowler hats and houses straddling the boundary between night and day. We've contemplated these typically Magrittian images in museums across Europe and the U.S. But only at the Magritte Museum can you follow the arc of the great surrealist's career, from the striking posters and ads that paid... Very nice museum with good audio guide but museum is way too dark. You need to angle around paintings to see them correctly. Otherwise, well worth it

Three floors (you start at the top and it's in chronological sequence) of paintings, drawings, photographs and other Magritte memorabilia. It's fascinating to see how the artist developed over the years. We were lucky on a Saturday morning to find no queue and the museum limits visitors per hour to avoid a crush, so the experience is a good one.... More
