It is a private house so it is not possible to come in. It should not be a world heritage site if one cannot visit it!!!

Built in Viennese Secession style, the 'Stoclet villa' (not open for visiting) is one of Europe's best-known late art nouveau masterworks.

The Stoclet family is a very wealthy one.
They have supported art activities for generations.
The most visible testimony of their action is this very special house.
For sure it deserves attention.

Just from the outside you notice this is a "special" building. The Stoclet house was built by the Austrian architect Hoffmann and interior decoration + furniture was completely made by the famous "Wiener Werkstätte". To get a feel of the interior visit Wikipedia, and if you happen to be in Vienna, visit the "Backhausen" shop in the Vienna city center....

The Palais Stoclet is an extraordinary early 20th century luxury home on the Avenue de Tervueren. A modernist house, it is something of an architectural link between the eras of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Still in private ownership and not open to the public, but the exterior is worth a look. Nearest Metro station: Montgomery (then short walk).
