This is a wonderful little museum in a lovely house in central Amsterdam. Extensive collection of purses &bags from the 17th century to the present. the historical information that accompanies the exhibits is well written & very informative. The collection itself is comprehensive with many beautiful bags. Very unique & not to be missed. More

You will love it if you are a purse fanatic. It is interesting as it shows fashion throughout different decades. To be honest we went as part as the museum night, but I wouldn't pay a normal ticket to view it. But then again, I am not a purse or shoe fanatics ... I can see the fashion interested ladies... More

Nice little museum if you like fashion, we went as it was free with our Amsterdam passes, not sure i would pay for entry but if you have a pass then its worth a look More

A girlfriend and I visited this 17th century canal house museum whilst in Amsterdam last week. Enjoyed seeing the remarkable collection of handbags/purses/shoes over the past 500 years. Also reminisced on seeing the selection of platform clogs/shoes similar to the ones we wore back in the 70's. Very much a "girlie" thing. More
