It is a sad but compelling story that is shared. Gave us more respect for the dutch when we saw how they fought back during the war. Excellent items to view from the time also.

This museum tells of the great Strength, resolve and bravery of many Dutch people involved in the resistance. I cannot recommend it enough. Everyone should visit this at least once on a visit to Amsterdam.

This museum is very informative and has some interesting exhibits. The key to an enjoyable visit is to get the audio guide. The staff members seemed very unwilling to hand them out (even though they are included in the price of admission) but we persisted and our group of four all agreed at the end of the tour that the...

This museum, located in the Plancius Building, (near the zoo, which was forbidden to Jews during the German occupation), has 2 permanent and 5 temporary exhibits on various historical themes per year. It has recreated streets and large photos that try to recreate the war years in Holland. There are letters, photos and film fragments that give small stories to...

The visuals are simple yet very powerful and bring a strong sense of the privations felt by the Dutch with special emphasis on the...

It was fascinating yet very sad what the Dutch and Jewish people experienced from 1940-1945. It gave us a unique perspective on how people responded differently to the German invasion. I highly recommend it.

We hit up this museum expecting to just spend an hour and ended up spending 3-4. It is well put together and really gave you a feeling of what life was like during the Nazi occupation. All the displays had English descriptions though all the personal items like letters are obviously in Dutch. They had a great display of embroidery...

Most Dutch museums are excellent, and this one is too. It's small but you leave with a strong sense of what the war was like for the Dutch in the Netherlands and in Indonesia
