Had a small walk to the restaurant Moeders. This area is quiet, not many people. Really advise to visit if you have time.

The Jordaan is an absolutely beautiful area of Amsterdam complete with superb canals, boutique shops, good quality brown bars and civilized coffee shops but lacking the lunacy of the red light district or the tourist tat of the main drag up Damrak. Try it... Go for a wander, have a beer, relax!

My husband and I were staying in a nice B&B in the Jordaan. After 3 days staying, we simply fell in love with this area. The surrounding is so peaceful but still very alive. Fairly quiet neighborhood that offers many small cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and nice places to sit along smaller canals.

Liked the houses, they are neatly kept, decorated. Canals and tree lined .... People are friendly and speak many languages.. Not afraid to switch from Dutch to another.

We visited the Jordaan due a Trip Advisor recommendation. Wonderful little place for a stroll, lovely small cafe's & bars, great little quirky shops and generally a lovely atmosphere.

Residential are mainly, small canals, found little of interest walking through area. Busier streets surrounding the neighborhood have more to offer.
