You take over an hour and 45 minutes to go down the hill. The only thing is some parts of the place is not maintained and you can take huge crashes... And just because you do luge doesnt mean you dont go fast.... you go fast very fast even

You can toboggan from Kleine Scheidegg to Alpiglen but the best run is from Alpiglen to Brandegg. You have a choice of routes - steep or easy

The sledging runs at Alpiglen were top notch. Nothing like the sled runs back in Australia, they were dangerous in how fun they were. The "Eiger run" as it's called was heaps of fun, not for the faint hearted or for someone with hip, knee or back problems. For teens and kids it's great fun, and you can get an... More

We stopped here on our walk from Mannlichenn to Kliene Schildegg to Grindelwalk. Nice views, cow bells and dung. But great spot and if you are tied from walk there is a station 100m away for train tov Grindelwald. But be warned , about $80.00 for two , for a6 min train ride down (part of Jungfrau rail)

It's a pity that this trail hasn't been registered yet in Tripadvisor so I need to share my experience under the title of Alpiglen (which is the trail's end point - or start point). This trail takes you along 3-4 Km between the heights 2320m and 1615m. If you start at Eigergletscher station (height 2320) then the formal time duration... More

Took the train from Kleine Scheidegg to Alpiglen, hiked down to Grindelwald. Had to take an easy trail as the Eiger trail ( difficult) was closed that day. There's also a restaurant in Alpiglen.

Beautiful surroundings/views - great location for the Eiger trail. Room clean...food OK...Was slightly disappointed in the unfriendliness of the staff. :( We had such great experiences everywhere else in the region..All in all a good choice.

After the wonderful hike we stopped here for a drink under the trees before catching the train back to Grindelwald. The rest rooms are clean and modern and the staff is attentive. The view from here is great as well! I would like to come back for lunch some day!

We stopped in for coffed and a salad as we were hiking up the mountain. They also rent rooms. It would be a wonderful out of the way place to stay if you like to hike and like a wonderful view.
