My husband and I went on a hike with Rene in May 2013. We were looking forward to the experience especially with his great email communication leading up to the day. While the fog was heavy and we had to change our original trip, Rene made sure that we saw everything we planned and customized the tour to our need.... More

Many thanks for being troopers and being flexible to do the Swiss Path hike. Getting snowed on wasn't something on the plan but you took it all in stride. Also the gulping down of lunch and sprinting to make the Lake Lucerne boat was something we also didn't plan but made it on board too. Wishing you super great memories... More

It was our first trip to Switzerland, and we knew we wanted to experience the Alps in the limited time we had! We researched and booked ECHO Trails before we arrived, so we knew we were only taking a chance on the weather. I'm so happy to say that everything was perfect. Renè met us at the train station, where... More

Our hike together was one of the nicest days in May so your Lucerne, Swiss trip planning was right on! We all saw the armada of Swiss boats on Lake Lucerne from our perch on Mt. Rigi. I later learned this show of all the Lake Lucerne boats was to showcase one of the renovated "paddle steamers" that was put... More

My wife and I went to Lucerne as part of our Europe trip and the one thing we wanted to do more than any other way go hiking in the Swiss Alps. Echo trails was the highest rated guide on trip advisor so we booked in and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Two things make this hike so special - 1... More

I am from Australia visiting my daughter and son-in-law and awaiting the birth of my grandchild. My daughter suggested I visit Lucerne and as she knows how much I love to walk helped me find a guided winter hike to Mt Rigi. With Renè for my guide and a perfect day we set off first by train, then cog train,... More

Helen, The Winter Guided Mt. Rig tour was designed for people just like you. It's great to know you enjoyed the various tour segments as much as I enjoyed putting this tour together. Wishing you continued happiness in your Sun & Sea "down under" home. With best Swiss regards, Rene More

Before the Swiss winter hit we had the chance to join a cool hike with the specialists from Echo-Trails Lucerne. For our daughter Kira it was a first to hike for a longer time. But she did enjoy it to 100%. At any corner the team of Echo Trails could show her something of interest, Animals from large to small,... More

This summer my friend and I had the most amazing opportunity to hike the Swiss Alps. We found out about Echo Trails guided tours through the Alps, and coming from California we did not know much about the intimate details of the Alps or how to get around. Our tour guide, Rene, met us at the Lucerne train station and... More

Last week I had the pleasure of having Rene guide me up Mount Pilatus, just outside of Lucerne. It was a wonderful day that I won't soon forget. I only had a day to spend in Lucerne and knew that I wanted to spend that day hiking, but didn't know much about the logistics of organizing it. Thus, I wanted... More

Led by an English-speaking guide with rich Swiss family heritage we were treated to the true Swiss experience...the journey began in the quaint, magnificent town of Engelberg where we took a local bus to the base of Furenalp mountain. After riding a cable car up the side of the mountain we took in some local eats...the most delicious, body-warming bowl... More

We spent 2 days with Echo Trails and found Rene to be a most flexible and knowledgeable guide. Our group of 7 friends enjoyed downtime, hiking, friendly locals, relaxed meals, torchlight night walks, and plenty of fun thanks to Echo Trails and the Engelberg area tour experts. I would recommend Echo Trails to anyone who wants to experience Lucerne or... More
