Loved it. It's easy to purchase a ticket on line, day of or day before travel is no problem. Like all rail travel in Europe, you can reserve your seat, especially if you travel is in the AM and/or the late afternoon (business travelers). If you want to guarantee sitting together I would recommend it. It was 5 CHF extra...

This museum is huge and was a wonderful day spent buy our family. It is fairly expensive but worth it! The museum starts in the train section. There are so many trains of different eras to see. There was a tunneling demonstration, model trains, and the worlds largest pinball machine that 8 or 9 people can play at once. The...

We visited this museum on a rainy day of May, 2013. Frankly, this was not on our itinerary of Switzerland but our hosts recommended this for a bad weather day. We are very glad that we visited this place and I would definitely recommend this to the families visiting Lucern. The museum would appreciate to those who like to try...

After paying (quite expensive) you first go to the aviation section. Quite a nice selection of old aeroplanes. Arranged so that you could get quite decent photos of all of them. Then the railway section. Large number of train carriages, locos and trams. Probably the best section in the museum. The nautical section wasn't much but did have the only...

A comprehensive collection of transport in Switzerland from trains to aircraft and cablecars. Expensive entry fee compared to UK but a lot to see. Lots to catch your eye apart from the vehicles, like the walls full of road signs. Large outdoor area for children to play on mini road construction vehicles. I just purchased museum entrance but there is...

Good comprehensive museum of trains and everything else relevant to Switzerland. Bit expensive, but just about everything else here is as well. There may be a reduction if you come an hour or two before closing, but you won't get to see as much. Get there by bus 6/8/24 from Luzern bahnhof or take the train in direction of Kuessnacht...

Lots of things to look at, and lots of information, so great if you're into all things transport. We paid to go into the film theatre, but left a quarter of the way through, as we wondered why we were watching a film instead of seeing Lucerne! We don't have kids, but it looked like a great place to bring...

Liked the Theatre and the helicopter simulation rides Disliked the high price inspite the 50% reduction on Swiss Pass
Beautifully preserved historical vehicles and great interactive tools and games for all to enjoy. Worth the entrance fee - come by public transport as parking is expensive and busy.
