Interesting place to stay for a while. Exibition (changing 2-3 times a year), Films about Paul Klee´s life, Souvenirs, books, explanations, Café and a special place for kids. Was amazed about it. The whole ground floor for creative kids, really well done. Else as a adult it was interesting to listen. But i'm not sure if this is only for... More

The summer exhibit is just awful as there are only 25-30 paintings, certainly not the nicest ones and most of the museum is not accesible. Not worth the 15 francs. However, BEAUTIFUL museum.

The Paul Klee Centre, in Bern, is well worth at least a half day visit of anybody’s time. Spectacularly housed in the tsunami-wave-inspired building by Renzo Piano, it is unable to display more than a proportion of the thousands of works by Klee and his friends. There are frequently special exhibitions of works rarely exhibited, some accompanied by films almost... More

Beautiful built into the hillside, the center houses an insightful retrospective of Paul Klee's works and rotating exhibitions of contemporary works. It also has concerts and other arts activities. I found it a bit confusing to get there, but it was definitely worth the visit. The most interesting things I saw there were the early prints of Klee, which I... More

It is a wonderful building, undulating to fit in the landscape. And if you do not appreciate Paul Klee, well, what can I say?

Nice location in the deep green fields. We visited the exhibit on Klee and Jadlewsky, and Klee and Japonismus.

The exhibition Klee and Jawlensky will end on may 26th, If you appreciate the works of Klee, you cannot miss it. The two painters met in 1912 and two years later they swaped paintings for the first time. They went on giving each other other paintings, expressing their mutual interest. This is the first time the excellent works by Jawlensky... More

Did you know the painter Paul Klee was called "the Buddha" by his companions? He was fascinated by Asian art and thought. This temporary exhibit at the Zentrum Paul Klee shows Asian pieces of art, mostly Japanese and Chinese, side-by-side with pieces by Klee. The pairings do not hint at subtle influences, instead they clearly demonstrate powerful similarities. For example,... More

We loved taking the tram from the center of Bern out to this architecturally interesting building in the dead of winter. The bite sized artist specific museum is a very enjoyable adventure to include in your visit to Bern. Be forewarned that any bag bigger than a small waistpack will need to be checked in lockers downstairs. Also downstairs is... More

The stunning building is a masterpiece of the Italian architect Renzo Piano. It is easy to visit, full of light with deep spaces giving a sense of freshness and movement on the different levels. The works of the German artist Paul Klee are displayed in a chronological way. This museum contains its summa collection.
