We went in winter and there was not much to do except walk. The paths were well kept and the views wonderful! Certainly worth a visit. Staff at the funicilar was very friendly and helpful, but staff at the self-service restaurant on the mountain was rude and unfriendly.

Went here using my Libero ticket (area ticket valid for certain zones in the Bern area). Lovely cable car up the hill and then beautiful walks with stunning views across Bern and over to the Matterhorn. Great play and activity area for kids to have fun in. Lovely cafe/restaurant as well. Great day out for family

It is a great place where to go in winter and summer with the family. Great view of the Alps and of Bern

Gurten is really nice to go to to get some amazing views of Bern and the Alps. You can climb the tower for even more incredible views, and it's only a short tram drive from the city centre. However, other than the views, there's not much to do.

The cogwheel ride is enjoyable. From the top of this hill, you can see Bern city and the Alps. Breathtaking views!

Only 10min from Bern main station you can get in teh cable car which Children willbe fascinated by the very big playground up un the Gurten. Adults will like the view from Jura until the Alps and you can perfectly see the whole town of Bern. Don't miss the Gurten Festival in July!
