This gallery has a wonderful collection of Umbrian art from the 13th to the 19th century. However you should be aware that all the older stuff is religious in nature and although it is of the highest quality, the unchanging subject matter can wear a bit thin for anyone other than a real enthusiast

I visited the Gallieria Nazionale dell'Umbria as it opened- 8.30 am.
No crowds-splendid gallery layout and a well curated collection. A pleasure to visit. I purchased the card that provided access to multiple historical sites around the city along with a free audio guide and map for €10. Excellent value.
