in fact, i didn't understand why you need to pay extra for the entrace to the library when you alredy bought a ticket to duomo.
For 2 Euro more you can see the most amazing room in the Duomo. It is not to be missed. The ceiling is like nothing I've ever seen with the most vibrant colors. The texts that line the walls are also gorgeous. I could have spent the whole day just staring at the ceiling. You must see this room.
The Biblioteca Piccolomini is one of the cathedral's greatest treasures and houses stunning frescoes on the walls and ceiling. Be sure to visit this room which is located on the north side of the Duomo and accessed from the interior of the cathedral. Also noteworthy is the statue of the Tre Grazie (Three Graces) which is located in the center... More
The frescos in this library were the most impressive aspect of the cathedral to me. I could not believe the brilliance of the colors. Not to be missed!

The Biblioteca Piccolomini is a wonderful sight that is included in the ticket with the Siena Cathedral. I found the room to be hands down the most stunning part of the cathedral. The multitude of colors and the golden borders dance across the room. People who are less into history and religion still can very much appreciate visiting there.
I love the much underated painter Pinturiccio, corny but true they STILL DO LOOK AS IF THEY WERE PAINTED YESTERDAY. One of the many treasures of Sienna, for art lovers visit the Museo and the Hospital frescoes nearby, often missed by visitors.
