We recently toured Italy via trains from Rome to Venice with one exception, we treated ourselves to a tour from Orvieto to Siena with Paola. Without a doubt, she was the high light of our two week trip, by all of us. It was a very special day. Paola promptly picked us up at our hotel from the narrow streets... More

We did both the wine tour and a tour to Assisi. The wine tour was amazing. We met the vintners and tasted the wines in their homes. One of the winemakers even prepared us a delicious lunch. This was an experience like no other! Our tour of Assisi was just beautiful. Paola makes everything so comfortable and easy. It was... More

Paola took my friends and I on a private wine tour when we were in the Florence area. She picked us up at the apartment and brought us to some gorgeous views and little towns on the way to the wineries. Tuscany is an amazing place and I've always wanted to go there and having Paola take us was perfect!... More

I recently took an excellent private walking tour of Siena with Stefano Maccianti (who's name I got through Paola). I have little background knowledge of the history of Siena and Stefano did a magnificent job explaining everything. The tour was thorough, well paced, and very enjoyable. I would highly recommend one of these tours if you are traveling in the... More

Paola is an experienced wine expert, having grown up in a Sienna farmhouse and maintaining close personal ties with all the people in the region. We left everything to her and she came up roses with a fantastic intimate tour that brought us much closer to understanding the nuances of Brunello wine in Tuscany. The olive trees and rolling hills... More

Paola is a real local full of passion and information of her region. We booked a tour and left it up to Paola to sort out the nitty gritty stuff for a full day of beautiful scenery good wine and food, throw in a bit of culture around Siena the castle at Monteriggioni and you have the perfect day. From our first contact with Paola via her website we were certain that this was one part of our trip that we could rest assured would go well. We arranged a transfer Tour with Paola picking us up at our hotel in Siena, visiting Pienza, a Pecorino factory and a Winery and ending at our hotel in Montepulciano. Having spent... More

Paola was fantastic and truly loves what she does. We booked the 5 hr wine tour in the Chianti region and it was a great day. In mid-January, it's the low season and you can't see the grapes at their peak; however, the hillside towns are still beautiful to see and drive through. We visited 2 local wineries, as Paola... We spent one day with Paola on the Chianti wine tour and had the best time! It was the most memorable and unique day of our 10-day Italy trip. She drove my husband and I around to 3 different wineries where we received personalized attention, a fabulous homemade lunch, and an abundance of Chianti wine! In addition, we had time... More

Our trip to Italy, September/October 2012, and before we left home we had arranged two tours with Paola. • Colle di Val d’Elsa for crystal production; Artemisia Gioielli, Castello di Monteriggioni to see Simona the owner and designer of beautiful jewellery (we bought some) and another tour of Sienna. This fabulous day was full of interesting stories of local culture... More
