My (now) fiance and I were planning a 3 week trip to Italy during late Sept/Oct of 2012 and DREAMED of taking an authentic Italian cooking class while we were there. We have taken a few cooking classes in Los Angeles and thoroughly enjoyed them so we figured it would be the perfect way to experience Italy. I did a... More

We came with our three kids, and they all loved the experience. The simplicity, the real feeling of home cooking and above all the atmosphere of the host that embraces you which caught our feeling for this place. the fact that they not trying to be beautiful or anything 'for tourist' makes this place what so fine about it.

My husband and I had a lovely time at the cooking class, we were with a good group of travellers and had a fun time. We certainly learnt a few tricks and took some great recipes home but I didn't do my homework very well as I think I would have done the intermediate class. Katie was lovely and very... More

I was wow-ed by this experience. The location of the property out in the country was just absolutely stunning (added photos) and the property itself was lovely as well. My friend and I had a private cooking lesson (beginner level though we're both probably more "advanced") with Katia and it was just incredible. She not only gave us a great... More

We thoroughly enjoyed learning to cook wonderful Tuscan dishes with Katia at Il Vicario during our stay in San Gimignano. Can't think of a better way to bring the best part of Italy home with us than to experience rolling our pasta (Pici), creating 3 different types of Bruschetta, making Panzanella and a healthy Fettuccine Alfredo (Fagioli cannellini e timo... Ciao and thank you for your review. I think everything is possible and gluten free pasta hand made was incredible good and not so different from the pasta made with other flour. Remember that make food is always a party, then if you have good friends to make with, it will be a successful ! Ciao Fulvio&Katia More

We had a great time today with Katia showing us the techniques for simple yet delicious food. This was so worth the taxi ride and we loved it. Katia was so friendly and we loved spending the day with her and also Uncle Fulvio. The food we had here makes anything we have eaten in the US a poor attempt.... More

My friend and I researched cooking classes in Tuscany before we went on our dream trip last October. This one stood out from the start as I communicated with Katia about our experience. She made sure that she understood our food preferences and dietary restrictions. Once we got there, it got even better. Katia and her family made the day... More

What a great day. We shared the experience with another couple travelling through Italy and it was a great experience. We hand-made Pici pasta with a cannelloni bean white sauce as well as making gnocchi with a tomato and pancetta sauce. Absolutely delicious! The several types of antipasti we amazing and Katia certainly gave us every bit of cooking advice... More

I know I'm repeating what another reviewer has written, but this was actually the best day of our holiday in Tuscany too! My partner and I met Katia for a beginners cookery course in her home and had a brilliant day talking about, preparing and eating amazing Tuscan food. We made our own pasta, a couple of sauces, a chicken... More
