Although this is only a bridge with shops on it, it has been a major land mark in Florence for century's. Go and enjoy the hustle and bustle and look in the windows of the jewelry shops. Make sure you walk down the river bank on either side to get a good photo of the bridge. Another must see while... More

Sort of the Florence equivalent to the Rialto bridge in Venice with shops on the bridge but much quainter and much higher end shops. The shops were primarily expensive jewelry stores.

Its a great little bridge with lots of history. Basically full of jewelry shops that are full price of course. Some nice pieces, but its a photo stop, not really somewhere to linger during the day. Too busy. At night however on a nice night, there is usually someone singing or performing, so you can grab a gelato from the... More

The bridge is full of beautiful jewellers - pricey but treat yourself on a special trip to Florence. There is a great cafe "Bar Ponte Vecchio" on the Oltrano side, where we sat and relaxed and people watched! Try their Bosco di Fruit cake

Every city seems to have at least one big tourist draw which always puzzles me. In Florence, its the Ponte Vecchio. I don't find it particularly interesting to view from afar (obviously one cant deliver to the backs of the shops here, but what you see is still the dull backs of shops) nor to view on it (perhaps if... Ponte Vecchio is a world famous bridge. We were glad to see it and even walked on it lol! The view is amazing and you will just keep taking photos like crazy. Definitely a must see when you are in Florence. See my photos and please vote for me if you find this review helpful. Thank you very much.

This bridge is a classic site in Florence, and it's great to check out the Arno from its center. It's great to peruse the shop windows and people-watch, but the price tags are terrifying. That said, I'm not personally a huge fan of densely crowded places, so it was nice, but not amazing compared to other sites in Italy.

One hears about the hiostoric Ponte Vecchio, but it is now lined with nothing but jewelry shops and other commercial businesses hawking their wares. A bit disappointing while on the bridge, but a delight to view from afar.

The Ponte Vecchio bridge is one of the most amazing sites we have ever seen or had a chance to visit. Our stary in Florence during June, 2012, was amazing and the sunny weather made this attraction just extra special. The history of the exterior, the photo opportunities and the amazing(very expensive shops) interior of the bridge as we walked... More

Very impressive bridge from the River, makes you wonder how it still stands! Full of over priced jewelry shops, which personally I would avoid.
