After our extremely pleasurable day trip last September, I encouraged some friends of mine to book a two day excursion with Davide and Continente Sicilia. Again we really enjoyed our excursions which actually started as soon as we landed at Catania Airport as Etna was just erupting and we were whisked off by Davide to watch the finale of this... More

The first thing you’ll notice when you arrive in Catania is she sheer majesty of the mountainous region that covers your view of the sky; Mt Etna. To not even try to scale this natural phenomenon would be a tragedy. For me it was essential to take a closer look but not being a native or knowing the area and... More

Davide was the perfect guide. His knowledge and experience of the area, informed by his background as a naturalist, provided for an insightful and inspiring tour of Etna and its environs. He took into account our particular interests in planning the itinerary, which allowed for a very personal experience. Our tour of a cave formed by lava flow was especially... More

If you want to get away from big tour groups take Davide's tour of Mt Etna and receive personal attention from someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about "Mamma Etna". His background in Natural Science and as a park ranger ensures accurate and in depth knowledge and information. Davide speaks very good English and he is good company, with a... More

My wife and I spent a day hiking with Davide on two sides of Mt. Etna, seeing unique and unforgetable things: 'lava trees' (pine trees covered by small chunks of lava that had blown on the wind from the last eruption); Davide's 'living room' (a small hollow on a cliff overlooking a huge lava field where we enjoyed a picnic... We had an incredible trip to Sicily thanks to our tour guide, Davide of Continente Sicilia. He showed us aspects of Mt. Etna most tourists will never encounter. While hiking on the south side of Mt. Etna he found lava that was blown from the erupting volcano the day before. We held it in our hands before it ever touched... More

We booked a hiking trip to Etna with Continent Sicilia and did not regret it. Davide our guide picked us up with his car in the morning. On our way to Mount Etna, we stopped in a small village where we picked up some good sandwiches. Davide was very knowledgeable about the volcano, brought us to different areas to view... More

Having forgotten my driving licence at home, no possibility to rent a car. Our hotel suggested Davide as a guide, arguing that he had good knowledge of Sicily and its natural aspects, being plants, animals, land, as well as urbanism and ecology. And it was true! Moreover, Davide is a very friendly guy, with who one feels at ease within... More

Our hotel booked a half-day trip to Mount Etna with this company. Davide picked us up at the hotel and took us on a four-hour tour of the north-west face of Etna. We visited several towns on the route of the Etna Railway, and several of the main lava flows about which our guide was very knowledgeable. We also drove... More
