This small museum is actually a large private collection of painted Sicilian tiles from the late 16th century to the early 20th century. They are beautifully displayed and our guide was excellent. Highly recommended.

A private collection of tiles, fascinating to see. Only three rooms, but beautifully restored and displayed, the English speaking guide was brilliant

A very original experience, very intimate vision of some beautiful objects from the past that have been saved thanks to the vision of the curator.

This is a great place to see if you're in Palermo. It's volunteer-run, and an individual's private collection, so it is essential to make a booking. Inside is an amazing collection of hand-painted tiles from across Italy, which help to give an idea of the past splendor of Palermo. Tours are done in Italian and English, and we booked via... More

This place is really worth a visit, although you will need to make an appointment. The collection of tiles is something really special and it is an absolute surprise walking into this private home, with so much shabbyness just outside the front door and so much beauty within.

Marvellous private collection of tiles in a fascinating building in via Garibaldi, well worth ringing to make an appointment. Charming and informative guide passionate about the collection.

Small, but really fascinating. The tour in English was excellent. Well worth taking the trouble to organise the visit in advance, which was easily done by e mail, to which the reply was very quick.

The "tile museum" of Palermo is one of the wonders of the city. Our guide, Claudio, was very knowledgeable and explained the history, source and derivation of the collection. It is not to be missed -- but make sure to call and arrange an appointment beforehand.

This attraction is not listed in any of the touristic maps of Palermo and yet it was our favorite one. We found it here on TripAdvisor and were very pleased with the visit. The collection of tiles is one of the largest in Europe, and it is indeed impressive (even if you're not specially interested in tiles...). Take the guided... More
