Difficult to comment any venetian attraction! All is beyond our expectations in spite of all the images already seen. But maybe what I prefered in Venice was to stroll about the streets and get lost in places without tourist. However, jogging in front of San Marco or Pallazzo Ducale is an unforgivable experience.

typical venetian atmosphere,but very busy. Restaurants are very busy, we always went to places to eat in the more quit areas

Can't see much when it's pouring down rain and this is your one shot at the Grand Canal. Not all that impressive in the wet.

We enjoyed our water bus ride down the canal. It was such a different way of getting around city and so full of boats it made it a very "electric" atmosphere.

The Grand Canal of Venice is undoubtedly one of the things you should see before you die. The moment I saw the Canal I literally gasped for speech. Everything is so beautiful and surreal!
It's highly recommended to go with your significant / potential significant other though. I went alone and I was kinda bitter seeing the couples around me...
